Living Stones Today
is a US-based nonprofit that introduces and connects American Christians to today’s followers of Jesus across the Near East (aka “Holy Land”), North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean by utilizing education in the US, small group travel and partnering in locally strategic projects.
The history, reality, relevancy and especially the people will surprise you.
Since 2012, we have helped Americans learn about and meet local Christians (aka Living Stones) across the Holy Land and the greater Levant region, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean region to experience their vibrancy, diversity, resiliency and wisdom.
Living Stones Today respectfully dives into the concerning lack of access, awareness and relationships. We seek to share the history, local state of affairs, global significance and connect opportunities to learn and partner with Living Stones across the region.
Our Big Picture?
We work to improve relationships between all Christians in order to strengthen the global Church, advance the Gospel and promote Jesus’ teachings as personally valuable and good for local communities.
Our Approach
1. USA Education
We are first and foremost highly relational, curious, open and spend time learning for ourselves and creating friendships.
We utilize small-group travel; create media, curriculum, courses and events to learn.
Plus we engage in public speaking and thoughtful discourse primarily for the sake of American education.

2. Local Connections
We highlight, promote and partner in shared projects with local Christians, organizations, churches, businesses, people and leaders across the Levant, N. Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.
We are longtime friends and fans of the full spectrum of the local Christian community…meaning all streams, heritages, generations and ethnic backgrounds.
We also in general…respect, love and care deeply for all people. Regardless if they hold personal Christian faith . We reflect this in our genuine friendships and sincere respect for Jewish, Muslim and Secular persons…all of us are formed by the same Creator.
We have deep relationships and trust with all backgrounds of local Living Stones. This allows us to practice and promote John 17:20-23 unity and create intra-Christian bridges. Our ability to travel with a respectful and “sleeves-rolled-up” attitude has been well-received.
We create educational content which is utilized in many settings - including presentations and venues in the USA - to introduce local Living Stones. Our fun, adventuresome, biblical and relational approach reflects our values and yields GREAT outcomes!
Living Stones Today utilizes and promotes local organizations, churches, NGOs, businesses and ministries. As an example: we connected a US-based church and a Holy Land student organization. We sponsored a 4-day Summer Family Camp staffed with 32 of our volunteers who were on an Origins Tour. Another successful endeavor!
Our approach to travel allows us to introduce U.S. Christians to the endearing people across the region. Their stories stay with you and change hearts! We provide steady, strategic and significant economic impact for the local community via business and shared projects.
We connect US-based churches who can serve year after year in the same locations. We also coordinate with local partners in Greece - for the sake of refugees from the Middle East. Amazing friendships and open minded dialogue frequently occur!
We design meaningful moments…but we also leave space for serendipitous, unscripted intersections - which are always memorable. Many Christians from around the world do not know about Christians in this part of the world, their traditions or daily struggles.
